Our policy offers comprehensive insurance for works of art, antiques, collectables and other items from the time we collect them to the time they are delivered to your door. We are approved to provide insurance by the Financial Services Authority, Number 315140

Our drivers carry digital cameras with them and make visual notes of any damage prior to our collection. These pictures will be passed onto the client for their consideration.

We also ensure that all the correct documentation is complete to enable smooth and quick customs clearance. From UK export licences, Carnets and International CITES permits, to BADA and LAPADA antique declarations, we make certain that your shipment avoids unnecessary delays and complications.

Alban Shipping also provides auction houses with a Certificate of Shipment for each item once it is safely dispatched. We also use the online UK Customs & Excise New Export System (NES) for UK customs entries. These too are forwarded to auction houses as a requirement for aspects of VAT refunds upon export.
